Meet The Most Expensive Golf Course, Shadow Creek.

Shadow Creek is the most expensive golf course in the world, and is located in Nevada, in the United States. Precisely located in the middle of a desert; a place so difficult to reach and lacking in water resources.

it is easy to imagine a golf course made entirely of sand bunkers, the only resource that abounds! In reality, it is a fully-fledged golf course, with vegetation, greens, green grass and all that is expected of a golf course, to be precise with 18 holes .




As you can imagine, the works for its realization have been enormous, so much so that it can be defined as the most expensive golf course ever built. The Shadow Creek Golf Course was literally carved out of the desert by the renowned architect Tom Fazio, made in 1990 by commission of Las Vegas magnate Steve Wynn.

The amount spent on its construction was about 60 million dollars. The intention was to create a monumental undertaking in homage to sport, life and enthusiasts, completely recreating a spectacular natural space in the middle of the desert.

To achieve this feat, the bed of some of the areas rivers was literally moved to supply the area with water. Twenty thousand adult trees have been transported and transplanted, and several hectares of grass have been sown. Beautiful waterfalls and lush gardens have been recreated, and everything is set in the marvelous setting of the imposing surrounding mountainous landscape.

Many of the PGA professionals attend Shadow Creek, which usually does not host more than twenty-four rounds of players a day, as a choice of direction to keep the place quiet,hospitable and intact as possible. The result is undoubtedly spectacular, especially since the Shadow Creek Golf Course can be defined first and foremost a corner of paradise on this side of the Earth, as well as the most expensive golf course ever built.
