Spotlight Writing Contest: CORRUPTION

Something I discovered lately is that corruption is now a universal problem, to me I'll not even want to go about it has a universal problem rather I live to call it a disease that is hard to cure.

WHAT IS CORRUPTION

I'll like to describe Corruption as practices of crime, and crime is the act of unfaithful deeds to law. Whenever there is alteration in settings of a particular law we are talking about corruption, whenever there is falsification in a given constitution then we perceive corruption, even when there is abuse in power it is still corruption, lastly, I'll tell you in this section; any wrongdoings that lead to a law breaking event is nothing else but corruption.

TYPES OF CORRUPTION.

We will be considering two basic corruption that has been infecting us like a virus.

Moral Corruption
Economy Corruption

MORAL CORRUPTION

I have a lot to talk about here, in fact, let me take a deep breath to enable me to flow very well for you too to enjoy me.......

Then I'll ask a question, are you one of that country man who had never stop thinking of when the country will be good? Are you one of that country man who has the concern with the abnormalities in the society would come to an end? How fast do you then want the change to be?

From now onward, I want you to know that everything positive wanted to achieve is going to be achievable when you are ready for it. Have you ever seen a man who is healthy who wants to eat that beg someone else to take the food on his behave? Wait!!! I can't hear your reply!!! You said??? No, right?

Absolutely No, then so also is who your attention and commitment needed here as I want us to know some facts about corruption when I talk about Moral corruption deeply.

The moral is undoubtedly a word concerned with several principles of what is normal and wrong majorly in human behavior.

There are some things that needed to be good in a human being.

In this case study, you'll realize that the society is now been damage with wayward behavior, the majority of which were caused by Friends, Social Media and Entertaining Industry.

The civilization of nowadays has corrupt us morally, you wouldn't be surprised to see a teenager talk boldly on grounds of sex, in this computer age you won't be surprised when you got a reply of " I'll prefer engaging in a cyber fraud than to work in this less flourish country" from someone who you think should be in school learning something that can contribute to society grow years coming, neither will you be surprised when a young guy chooses to venture into singing meaningless song all in the name of proving he is talented.

On a very high consideration, less than 1% of the whole earth is free of this Moral corruption, whenever you are doing things like;

• Lying to get rewarded for something
• Involvement in improper sexual act
• Sending younger ones mature items
• Promoting things that are not mentally supported
• Passing the wrong message from songs
• Involvement in cyber fraud
• Lies to protect your interest is immoral too

And I will tell go categorically that other forms of corruption are built on the Moral Type of Corruption

There is a popular saying by the Yoruba people

ìse ilé ló maá n bá omo dé òde
The above literally means training began at home.

Later after clarification on Economy Corruption, I'll shed more light of the above critics.

ECONOMY CORRUPTION

This is surely one thing you want to hear, I guess, even before the formal one because this is where I think most of us think we are being most affected.

Majority of inhabitants of a particular ecosystem will always have a reason to talk about retardation of economic growth over a period of time.

Most people will definitely emphasize on the improper growth of a particular environment that it is due to corruptions.

Well, Economy corruption simply occurs when major people of the country is not benefiting from all the settings of the country.

The truth be told, a country where corruption rules only subjected the less privileged citizen to suffer, while the privileged one enjoys over the less privileged.

Most people will consider the politicians to be the ones who enjoy the most when it comes to the economy corruption.

Regardless of thoughts, that politician enjoy the most when it comes to economy corruption, I must tell you they are not the only one; most of the key office holders also benefit greatly from that economy corruption, then here we suffer a harder effect of the said corruption, and it gets worse when the subordinates of the key office holders are infected with the trend.

Let me explain the above with the popular form of corruption which I want you to believe with me that it's Bribery.

In any settings that are not just, most of the key office holders are not the rightful owner of their elected position, this simply means they are mostly not qualified for the office they are, majority of them got appointed to the office with probable influence of someone, or influence of someone that knows someone, or that of someone that knows someone that knows someone.

So, the fact that they can't challenge the upper authority is a big problem, all they do when things are not right is to support it and try to benefit from it, while almost all the institution is of the same sets, then the trend continues, mind you, they are already in the top position which we all know that top positions are the real key to the financial doors.

Then here you must have understood that all aide of this people will then lobby for their pocket, so also the trends continue.

But as the trends continue backward, when will those with no aids in any justification benefit from the trend. Here we will then discover that only the poorer one suffer the most.

The above paragraph was just trying to find a way to describe those who became conscious of the economy corruption, and the conclusion is the poorest.

Many are other forms of corruption too, but will time permits, and even if time permits will you still be cool reading this piece?

Regardless of the reply to the answer let's jump to “what corruption brings”

EFFECT OF CORRUPTION

Well, we have 2 Types of Effect Corruption

Positive Effect

Here what really happens is that the rich keep getting richer will the poor continue dwelling in poverty.

 Negative Effect

This is where you can get the definition of what suffers is, but also the ranking of the country peaceful scores will be degraded.

Notably, this is where the going gets tough, what happens here may now get the attention of the top chain dominant, Why? Illegal practices keep increasing on daily basis, such as kidnapping, civil duties will be overlooked, robbery will be the talk of the day, cyber fraud will be the commonest between the young blood, fraud will even not recognize relatives.

Then here the solutions will be the talk of the street, at this time when you decide to make inquiries of how the state of a country is, merely asking how is work? Every body we start lamenting, In fact, you don't need to ask how should we go about solving this problem? Before everyone starts saying their opinion, seriously speaking everyone will reply you with answers that are not worth it.

For instance, let us consider the below conversations with different people

The first conversation is with a Driver.

Analyst: Hello sir,
Driver: I'm not in a good mood
Analyst: What happened, sir?
Driver: Can't you see how bad the country is?
Analyst: It's too bad sir
Driver: It's more than bad, I just don't want to say....
Analyst: So, what do you think is our solution to the problem
Driver: Let's pray that all out leaders die.

The second conversation with a trader

Analyst: Good afternoon,
Trader: Hmm!! So it's afternoon already
Analyst: I'm confused about your reply Ma,
Trader: You cannot understand
Analyst: Can make me understand
Trader: OK, tell me what the time is
Analyst: It's Exactly 2 pm
Trader: That's the problem, every since I opened for business today, I haven't sold anything, why? Isn't it because of this country economy situation, and if you trace it well, you will discover that it is because of the immense corruption. I'm so tired kid!!!
Analyst: So, what do you think the solution should be?
Trader: Let the world come to an End.
Analyst: Jesus Christ!!!!!!!!!!!

Let's now think of what a graduate that is in the category of the negative affected side will say if we should interview such person, what bad thing could he say?

But considering the reactions of the two frustrated souls above can we really proffer a solution to the concerned topic? Tell me can corruption be curbed by the Death of our Leaders? Is Extinction of human soul on Earth 🌍 the better approach to curb corruption?

Personally, I don't think so, because I think I have a better idea to curb the several nations' destructive diseases, Let consider the suffice;

I say:

• Origin of the Corruption must be Eliminated

Have we ever study that corruption starts from home? Sincerely, I mean it, the problem we are always having is self-originated ones, the primitive training a child receive is from the parent, then the parents should help the society for the better tomorrow, the younger ones should be trained well morally, they must be taught what needed to be done in all aspects of their life. The right hand and the left one must be differentiated for them to know, then after the society will be sure of products that can handle the task in the community in the nearest tomorrow. Surely, the Youngs shall grow.

The above paragraph is for the children that are not really infected with the diseases yet, the only one they might have been injected with is the moral ones, but if the parent is ready to help the community grow that can be curb by them as far as they put all things into places.

Now, I'll ask the parent a question I'll like them to answer truthfully, Are you ready to change the bad atmosphere? If their reply is yes, then I'll ask them to start changing themselves.

One thing is that in a corrupt environment, ranging from the smallest to the eldest, they are all corrupt entity, sincerely that's the glaring truth.

How do we have the change amidst the parent? It's simple they needed to do two things, let them erase the negative mind sets and they should be positive minded, and secondly, they should start changing their ways. If this is done, I'm glad to tell you we are going to be less or noncorrupt.

When the above is done, then no cases of bribery will be reported amidst the office holders because important office holders would be a person of great substance, no kidnapping, Grand Theft, robbery and others forms of misconduct will happen in the society because everybody is already morally trained.

• God intervention

This, I should have put first below elimination of the origin of the corruption before I remember the particular sayings that say “heaven help those who help themselves”

More, more importantly, every human being needs to be thought the will of God, every religion believes that the creator did not want the bad thing for mankind, they when things are not finding its right places, the intervention of God is Required.

Either our country is having the worst case of corruption or not, my conclusion is that;

NOTHING BAD IS BEYOND CONTROL WHEN ALL NECESSARY FACTORS ARE PUT IN PLACES.
