Competition Basketball Student Sport Week Level Samudra University 2019

The Samudra University men's basketball team is ready to participate in the 2019 Regional Student Sports Week (POMDA) championship which is planned to be held in Banda Aceh this August. However, the new squad formed around two months did not want to set a target too high. "We will play nothing to lose. As much as possible escape from the group," said the student basketball team coach Samudra University. For the men's basketball team, said Arsyad, his party was actually given the target of winning a bronze medal. However, according to him, the target will be difficult to achieve since other universities will also send their best teams. A number of rivals that would be difficult to deal with include student basketball teams from Syiah Kuala University, Malikussaleh University, Serambi Mecca University, and Teuku Umar University. "Moreover, our team preparation is quite tight. It is different from our potential opponents who on average have prepared the team for more than one year," Arsyad said. Samudra University last sent a basketball team to POMDA 2016. Arsyad only hoped that the participation of Samudra University student basketball team in POMDA 2019 this time contributed to making the world of boundaries at Samudra University stretch again. "We want to prove that Samudra University basketball is not dead," he said.

Samudra University student basketball manager, Adon Fuady, added 12 players, consisting of 1 son, were ready to depart for Banda Aceh. "The majority were indeed players who performed brilliantly at Pomda,"  Arsyad.  Arsyad added, after PEKOMTAS 2019, he hoped the team formed by Samudra University can still be maintained. That is because in the future there are still many championships to be held.
