TNF Pick: Pats bounce back with a close win in Tampa
I've gotta say, this one is dicey. The Pats' defense is the hottest of garbage right now and the Bucs certainly have weapons on the offensive side of the ball. That's why I can't pick the Pats to cover laying 4.5 points, but I have to think they escape Tampa with the W.
The last time the Patriots lost two in a row was December 2015. The time before that was September 2012. The short week favors the better coach and Bill Belichick is the GOAT (remember that the Pats routed Houston on Thursday night last year, 27-zip, starting their third string QB). Although Doug Martin is coming back for Tampa Bay, he'll be showing some signs of rust after the suspension and the shortened practice schedule coming into this Thursday night game.
I think this'll be a close contest. But all things considered I gotta give New England the edge.
