The golden legs needs no golden shoe
Skill and discipline was all it takes
Opportunities readily taken on the way
A show, a display, non-relentlessly
To that young man who didn't give up
Trophies await him, glory search for thee.

Great stars who have passed
From Abedi Pele to Maradona
George Weah, and the Ronaldos
Training non stop, night and day
Sleepless night, restless days
Jogging the pitch, dribbling the ball
Skipping the rope
Keep your eyes on the ball
Keep your focus on the game
Tenacity, dogedness won all matches
The trophy they took home
None knew how they started with leather shoes
None knew how they discipline under the dark moon.

Some forget, the discipline should be non stop
At the mention of trophy they relax
When honoured on the pitch they slack
Men like that fizzled off the field
Injury, bench, stars starts to sink
No plan to improve they get loaned
Till we could hear them no more.
