Steemit's official rugby World Cup SWEEPSTAKE!

OK, maybe this isn't the "OFFICIAL" steemit sweepstake, but I have to be one of the first to get going on this event surely??

So the plan is to raffle/sell off the 20 teams taking part this year, in a random draw. Then split the prize pot at the end of the tournament.

I was thinking $1 (4steem) per entry, limited to 2 teams per person.

20 TEAMS @4STEEM = 80STEEM

• 1st place = 40 steem
• 2nd place = 20 steem
• 3rd place = 10 steem
• 4th place = 5 steem

Most team tries = 5 steem

Here is the list of the teams taking part this year. It also shows their highest place finish since the beginning of the RWC back in 1987

Now for me, the rugby World Cup is the biggest sporting even on the planet and I can't wait for it to get going again.

They play for the WEBB-ELLIS Cup and New Zealand are current world number 1 and reigning champions. Other teams will need to play some fantastic rugby if they are to best the bookies favourite and prevent them from retaining the cup.

The tournament will be hosted by JAPAN and I expect them to be amazing hosts. The conditions for running rugby should be great, but I am a bit concerned about the temperatures getting a little too hot for some teams.

The tournament is split up in to pools (groups) and the top 2 teams from each pool progresses to the knockout stages of the tournament.

I'm also planning on using the steem generated from post payouts to fund some fun mini games and special prizes. So even if youre unfortunate enough to pull the worst teams, there is still a chance of walking away with some good prizes.
