Barcelona confirm Messi is fit for Champions League opener against Dortmund
Lionel Messi, the Barcelona talisman has been declared fit ahead of Barcelona's Champions League clash at Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday night.
After making a full recovery from a calf injury suffered, Messi is in line for his first appearance of the 2019-20 campaign.
He has been out of action since he sustained a calf injury. Even when he was expected back in August when Barcelona faced Real Betis at Camp Nou, but his scar reopened thereby extending his time by a couple of weeks.
The 32-year-old returned to full training on Monday morning and has been included in Ernesto Valverde's 22-man squad for the trip to Westfalenstadion.
Messi will travel to Germany with his team-mates later on Monday, as Barca prepare to open their latest Champions League campaign.
