Kawhi is our era's Kobe Bryant

Kawhi Leonard is one of the best NBA players in the league right now. And one of the things that distinguishes his game from other players in the NBA is his ability to make mid range shots. Tough mid range shots. That's not something you often see in the NBA in this day and age. In fact, many coaches would tell you the mid range shot isn't worth working on, or that you should avoid doing it in game.

He wasn't always able to do this though. When he first entered the league, he was basically only a corner three specialist. He improved, slowly adding to his game. Becoming a superstar over time. I think this in itself is quite encouraging. We all have the potential to improve, so long we're willing to put in the work.
