Current leaders in the brazilian women's volleyball championship, Sesc RJ, extended their runs of wins in the competition after deafeating rivals, Esporte Clube Pinheiros in what can be described as a convincing win.
Esporte Clube Pinheiros went into the game as the underdogs since they had not won any encounter in their last five outing against Sesc RJ. Their loss makes it eight wins out of eight encounters for the championship leaders, Sesc RJ.
Sesc RJ showed class during the encounter and the result which ended 3-1 (25-22, 25-19, 20-25, 26-24) showed once again the level of dominance they have over their counterparts in the championship but can they maintain these performances?
Sesc RJ's Tandara Caixeta who have had it quiet rough in the championship due to injuries, put up a decent performance on her return as she bagged 21 points during the clash which evidently, proved instrumental in their win over Esporte Clube Pinheiros.
