The Lakers had weathered one Kobe trade request but it wasn't too long before they had another 2004 marked the dying phase of the Kobe Shaq era the Pistons who supposedly had no star players had just stomped the Lakers in the finals and it was obvious the fine city of Los Angeles was no longer big enough for the Lakers duo Kobe was the first to try to move desperate to legitimize his legacy by winning a championship without Shaq.

Taking all the glory Bryant settled on Chicago and went as far as to search for schools and homes in the Lake Forest area and of course with years and years of people saying Kobe modeled everything he did after Michael Jordan the idea of jellybean jr. donning a Bulls uniform in the Windy City had to be appealing for a still hungry for everything Kobe but before he could follow in his earnest his shoes Bryant was stopped coldness tracks by of all people Rob Pelinka.

Ironically the Lakers future GM would make his best move to the Lakers when he wasn't even a part of the organization yet so think of the following before you trash pálinka Lakers fans he gets a free pass for life for this move polenka called Kobe to tell him Shaq had demanded a trade with Shaq out of the picture Kobe could have the Lakers all to himself and show the world he was no sidekick.

Shaq was traded to Miami and Kobe was the recipient of a massive 136 million dollar contract that's a lot of popeyes chicken sandwiches at first honestly it looked like the Lakers had made the wrong decision within two years Shaq was raising the Larry O'Brien trophy for the 4th time but this time in a heat Jersey the diesel couldn't resist throwing a jab at Kobe after the wind claiming I could win anywhere not just with some shot happy garden Los Angeles however that shot happy guard would get the last laugh.
