Chelsea manager Frank Lampard announced that he was happier with his team’s performance in the 4-0 defeat to Manchester United last weekend than in their 1-1 draw with Leicester on Sunday.

Of Lampard’s first three competitive games, Chelsea has won none.

Chelsea performed brilliantly in the first half hour on Sunday and took the lead early through Mason Mount, but were held back by Wilfred Ndidi’s second half goal for the Foxes.

Lampard acknowledged that his business is all about results and conceded that he was frustrated over the performance despite the talent he believes is there.

It's a results business,” the former Derby boss said after the game.

It's strange because the performance against Manchester United overall made me happier than today even though it was a 4-0 result.
