100.7 MPH outfield assist by Bubba Starling!
Bubba Starling center fielder from the Kansas City Royals pumped up the crowd with his cannon arm.
Friday night - The royals are down by 5 runs in the 6th inning, the situation looks hopeless with bases-loaded and Ramirez at-bat. After Ramirez hit the ball to the outfield, Starling wonderfully dives catch on a fly ball hit by Cleveland Indians’ Mike Freeman. When Starling saw that Indians shortstop Francisco Lindor tried to run home to make a score, he unleashed his strong arm and shows his 100.7 MPH outfield assist to plate. With only one bounce in his throw, Lindor was tagged out at the plate with only a couple of feet remeaning.
With that kind of play, he received the loudest cheer of the night from the fans. Apparently, that assist is the fastest thrown ball from the outfield this season in the MLB so far. Hopefully, next year it doesn’t take until almost August to get 40 wins.
What a strong throw!!!
