Africa Cup Of Nations(AFCON) 2019: Group E and F Matchday 3 Round Up.

The group stage matches of the Africa Cup of Nations Tournament (AFCON) 2019 ended yesterday with Group E and F being the last teams to play.

The first and second teams from both groups have already qualified for the next round automatically.

The other teams that also finished as best losers in some groups have also qualified and I will talk about that in my next post!!

Matchday 3 Group E Results

Angola 0:1 Mali and Mauritania 0:0 Tunisia
The game of Mali vs Angola was a tight one with Mali emerging victors and also this result made them top this group with 7 points.

It was really a tight group as Mauritania draw with Tunisia made the Tunis qualify in second place!

Matchday 3 Group F Results

Benin 0:0 Cameroon and Ghana 2:0 Guinea Bissau.
The game of Ghana vs Guinea was interesting because Ghan wanted the points badly and they got them by scoring two goals.

The goals were scored by familiar names in Jordan Ayew and the Atletico Madrid midfielder Thomas Partey.

The game of Cameroon against Guinea Bissau ended in a goalless draw!!! I guess it's because Cameroon had already somehow qualified so they did not bother to press harder for a win.

At the end of matchday 3, we had Ghana topping this group and Cameron coming in the second position.
