Arwind Santos of the San Miguel Beermen vows to find a way in stopping KaTropa's import Terrence Jones if they want to win the championship.
Santos admitted that Jones is difficult to guard. Santos said
"Si Terrence Jones, magaling, malaki ang naibibigay sa kanila – assists, puntos, depensa, rebound"
Due to the difficulty of defending Jones, Santos defense against Jones got to a point that was a little physical. The two players got entangled whild the play was ongoing. Then, in an interview, Santos said this
"Magaling talaga eh. Ganun talaga. Minsan, parang sobrang galing, gusto mo na talagang pigilan, minsan gusto mo bigyan, minsan gusto mo tirahin minsan. Hindi sa normal ‘yun. Pero tignan natin sa Game Two"
Santos emphasizes that their lost in Game 1 was because both Terrence Jones and the TNT locals were dominating in the game. He added that if the Beermen wants to win the series, they should stop either of the two offensive arsenal of KaTropa - the import or the locals. And to prove this statement, Santos said this in an interview
"Kung papipiliin ka gusto mo ba umiskor si Terrence Jones ng more than 50 points and at the same time, off ang mga locals? Dapat ganun. Sa Game One maganda ang laro ni Jones, maganda pa laro ng locals.Kailangan hindi dapat ganun ang mangyari. Kung ma-off namin import, okay lang maganda laro ng local. Kung ma-off namin local, dapat ‘yung import, hindi na. Mamimili kami sa side na ‘yun"
Nevertheless, Santos will help San Miguel to play better in the series and made a statement that in Game Two and for games to come, if anyone among the Beermen is guarding Jones, he should do whatever he can to stop Jones because it is already for the championship.
