Nigerian forward in the person of Victor Osimhen had been reportedly hospitalised Tuesday night mid way in the Coupe de la Ligue clash between his team and AS Monaco.

Osimhen who was featured in the game and even scored against AS Monaco suddenly complained of chest pain and a kind of spinning sensation within his head. As a result, he was hurriedly substituted off following his complaint.

I really thank the official for heeding his complaint and doing the needful by the way of his prompt substitution with another player. I have seen such occasion turned to serious situation and sometimes resulting to death within an eye blink. But that's not the case with this talented star, thanks to the officials of the game.

Worth mentioning is the Lille doctor, Patrick Flamant who led him out of Stade Louis II as well as accompanied him to a nearby hospital where he was subjected to close observation all through the night.

My special thanks also goes to the Lille manager Christophe Galtier who promptly helped in calming nerves amongst anxious Lille fans.

It was a very frightful experience but thanks to everyone who helped to bring things under control.

Thanks for reading.
