Arsenal completely wiped out Nottingham Forest at the Emirates Stadium in this fixture which took place in the first part of this season’s EFL Cup competition. Unai Emery decided to field most of the youngsters to showcase their talents, as this competition has been used by most of the top clubs to allow the younger players to have some game time to showcase what they are capable of doing on the pitch and also gain more experience. Nottingham Forest weren’t able to cope with the qualities of these Arsenal players and were totally and comfortably beaten at the Emirates Stadium.

Even though Arsenal decided to use more of youngsters for this game, there were also some few senior names in the side to add more experience to the team. Notwithstanding, most of the Arsenal goals were scored by the youngsters as they showed Emery how talented they are and few reasons why some of them should be considered in the first team squad.

Goals from Martinelli, Holding, Willock and Nelson were enough for the gunners to get a comfortable 5-0 win against Nottingham Forest at home.
