Gernot Rohr alleged by the NFF
The Naija news reports that Gernot Rohr, the Super eagle coach accused the Nigerian football federation of owing him over $100,000. This statement made by Rohr pissed off the entire NFF board and they were very angry at him. The NFF technical director, Bitrus Bewerang, censured the super Eagle coach by exposing some part of his agreement to the public.
He said NFF is owing Gernot Rohr ($30,000) which is a result of the differential in his new contract, which the football body financial advisor has to align and interface with AITEO before payment.
Bitrus Bewerang praised Gernot Rohr for his effort and the wonderful job he is doing in building the super Eagle teams.
However, he said he cannot continue to nonchalantly utter words that could damage the NFF reputation and Nigeria as a nation.
He further explained that the $30,000 will be paid soon, and about the 2019 AFCON bonus, that is discretionary on the part of the federation and not contractual.
He said the policy started recently to motivate the players during the 2018 FIFA World cup, outside their bonuses and allowances.
At the moment, the NFF financial advisors have aligned and interfaced with the payment ($30,000) with AITEO, which the process was concluded last Friday. This means his money will be paid as soon as possible.
