The most overrated heavyweight boxer of all times to me is Cassius marcellus clay junior better known as Muhammad Ali.

I can spend an hour writing about the things that made him great, but i won't bore you stories, i will only explain how i see him.
Ali started fighting as a pro about age 18 1/2, according to history, he fought for the tittle 3years and few months after he started, he had a long career. Fought everyone, the legitimate challengers and some not so legitimate. That's not even where am going.
What i see that is great about Ali...
Historically, October 30,1974.Ali upset the seemingly invincible heavyweight champion George foreman, and reclaim the title that had been stripped from him about 7 1/2 years earlier. Only chance he had was to run from foreman for 15rounds while using his super hand speed, defensive tactics and boxing ability to output foreman or maybe stop him on cuts. Instead, Ali scored an 8th round knockout, while letting foreman punch himself out.
How is Ali Overrated?
First, his style was unique i don't have to describe it we all know. He can't be compared to, Ali was hard to hit, a great defensive boxer. His hit and run style, including impressive counter punching at times was one-of-a kind.my view tho,Muhammad Ali had a career record of 56 wins, five losses and 37 knockouts before his retirement from boxing in 1981 at the age of 39.
Ali is a kind of boxer that needs the right opponent to really bring out his greatness.
People now call Ali the greatest fighter in history while some don't even rank him probably he was beaten, and perhaps actually lost more fights than his record shows. But looking critically into his potentials, has was indeed a great one in history of boxing and that's why am talking about him today. How i wish i can be a boxer but I'm afraid to loose my nose.
