Antetokounmpo lost against Team USA, Greece failed to advance to FIBA quarterfinals
Team USA is heading into the quarterfinals in the second round of the FIBA Basketball World Cup after defeating the Greek team, 69-53.
The US was able to limit NBA MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo's approach to posting an unbeaten run in China.
While this is Greece's second defeat. Giannis finished with 15 points on 7-for-11 shooting and had 13 rebounds.
On the defending champion America's side, only two players scored in double figures Kemba Walker with 15 points and Donovan Mitchell with 10.
Greece has been hit hard by 32-percent of the field and only seven three-pointers have entered from 27 attempts.
For now the US will need to beat Brazil with a 3-1 record to secure the top spot in Group K.
If you remember Brazil humiliated Greece in the first round.
Meanwhile, it is possible for Australia or France to face Wednesday in the USA with a 4-0 record in Group L.
The recent US win has made NBA players the 57th winning streak since the 2006 World Championship.
