Marquez memastikan diri menjadi juara dunia MotoGP 2019 usai memenangi balapan di Thailand, dua pekan lalu. Ia mengunci titel dengan empat seri tersisa. Meski demikian Marquez tak lantas bisa bersantai di sisa musim. Rider asal Catalunya itu masih berambisi membantu tim dan pabrikan memenangi gelar.

Saat ini, Honda ada di posisi teratas klasemen konstruktor dengan 331 poin, unggul dari Ducati yang punya 254 poin di posisi dua. Di klasemen tim, Repsol Honda punya 358 poin dari tertinggal dari Mission Winnow Ducati (377 poin).
