One of the most popular races in the world, Sydney Hobart Yacht Race, attracts thousand of spectators. It a mesmerising show and a part of its attraction, I believe, is in showing how humans can master the forces of nature. The sailors use the wind and water streams to cross the oceans, or in this race case, Bass Strait. All the big races have to start small though, with local test runs and competitions, and this is one of them, a sail boat race in the Wide Bay, QLD.
