Sports Picks for 9/14/2017

I consider myself somewhat of a new kid on the block when it comes to the Crypto environment. Every day I look for a way to further my knowledge of the basic fundamentals and the current climate which as of right now turns out to be a bit rocky.

However, something I am well aware of is how to profit off of wagering on sports and I consider the two somewhat similar in the sense that they are both have overarching trends while remaining unpredictable on a day to day basis.

I am going to kick off the first edition of my betting series with the highly debated Thursday night slate of NFL football.

9/14/17 - Houston Texans @ Cincinnati Bengals

Both teams opened up the NFL season in the most flat footed way possible. The Bengals were shutout on their home field by a Baltimore Ravens team that had a lot of question marks especially on the offensive side of the ball going into the season. The Texans, on the other hand, looked out of sync for the majority of the game with the exception of a drive that rookie QB Deshaun Watson pieced together with the helped of some very questionable penalties to extend the drive.

This week although the effects of Harvey are still lingering in the city of Houston the Texans will get the opportunity to escape the chaos for a weekend and attempt to represent the strength of the city one more time. Similarly, The Red Rocket aka Andy Dalton is looking to get last years #13 offense back up to speed.

Historically speaking Houston has been 0 and 7 in their last Thursday night football games. Furthermore the Bengals have traditionally been slow starters under Dalton in week one, but in their last 8 week 2 affiars have a record of 6-1-1.

This game is going to be sloppy as the Texans are still getting their feet under them and throwing a rookie QB, although college proven, is going to take a while. I think the embarassement of last week will propel the Bengals offense back to what they are capabale of being and they will reestablish that Paul Brown Stadium belongs to them.
