Do you think Paul George a LAKERS?
As today being reported that Paul George already told Pacers that he plans to leave the franchise and prefer to join the Lakers.
Do you think this is happening? I would think so, because towards the end of the season, Paul George has already expressed his willingness to play for the Lakers.
But what does this mean? It means Pacers will likely to trade Paul George cheap such that he will be playing for another team one year (like a rental) and then once he becomes free agent, he will go any where he wants.
And what is Magic Johnson reaction once he hears the news?

If the Lakers can get Paul George, I think in a few years they will be contenders, especially if the Warriors falter.
Lakers already have a good core to be developed and one more draft pick to be developed. If paul george is scheduled to come in 2018, it will definitely fit the whole team timeline and the first step for the is to get in to playoff and play well and one or two years after that, they could really do some serious damage.

Yes definitely and it turns out putting magic johnson to be the team president really helps to bring back team legacy. As the fact is there are so many team in the NBA and there are only that many star players and it is getting really hard to lure a player to play for them.
He would be an interesting player out in a Lakers uniform. Can he really handle himself in the West? Sure he doesn't have to deal with Lebron until the Finals but What about GSW? How about the Spurs? Going to the west doesn't make things easier but it will be an interesting move none the less for PG.
West is a lot tougher than the east but if paul george coming to the west i do think he can be a good leader of the team, being a vet and be vocal and everything. For a young team like lakers, it wont bring them to the top immediately but would be a good piece to have.
If Paul George is able to sign with the Lakers, it makes the team very interesting in the next coming years. I don't think they will be able to compete with Golden State or San Antonio considering they have better SFs on their team and better supporting casts. Honestly, unless their draft pick becomes an All-Star caliber player, I don't see the Lakers competing for much besides second round playoff exits against SA or GS. But his future is definitely brighter in LA than it would be in some place like Indiana.
Yes you basically said what i need to say. No one make a contender one day. Lakers have good bunch of young core to work with but they need time, similar to the top rookie this year. They alone probably wont put the team anywhere. But with george, a all star, could give them a chance to compete every ball game so the young guys can learn at the same time. But yes gsw is so much ahead the game and there is no indication they will blow up the team anytime soon.
Hmm it would be damn great ,cuz lakers shouls get out of pit.
