Naomi Osaka, a 20-year-old youngster from Japan, has become the first woman from her country to reach the final of a Grand Slam tournament.

Osaka defeated American Madison Keys, last year's US Open finalist, 6-2 6-4 in the US Open semi-final yesterday to create history for her country.

Osaka will face 23-time Grand Slam Champion Serena Williams from America in the final on Saturday. Williams is Osaka's tennis idol.
