NBA Playoffs - Golden State Warriors vs San Antonio Spurs
As Expected
It was as expected, the Golden State Warriors winning over the San Antonio Spurs. Game 5 ended with a score of 99 to 91. Draymond Green led the Warriors with 17 points, 7 assists, and a monster 19 rebounds to propel the Warriors to the second round of the playoffs. On the other hand Lamarcus Aldridge led the way for the Spurs with 30 points, 4 assists, and 12 rebounds. The Spurs were mounting a comeback late in the 4th quarter, with Golden State leading as much as 16.
The Warriors will now play the Pelicans in the second round of the playoffs. I will be following a post for this making a recap of the second round series between Golden State and New Orleans.
Last week in this post before the Playoffs started. I predicted that the series will be over in 5 games, with the Warriors 4-1, this time my prediction was right so let us add one to my right predictions in our score board.

San Antonio Spurs Future
There are many questions surrounding the future of the Spurs, Game 5 seems like the final game of Manu Ginobili for the Spurs, but we will wait and see if he comes back next season. The roster of the Spurs are aging, one of their best player Kawhi Leonard refuses to play for the team as rumored. It will be a big off season for the Spurs, will they need to rebuild and trade Kawhi? Keep the roster intact and build around Aldridge?
If anything happens I know that the Spurs will be making a come back as always the most consistent NBA team to always reach the Playoffs in consecutive years. What are your thoughts? Should the Spurs rebuild and trade Kawhi?

Spurs had and weird/unfortunate end of the year. Kawhi really through them for a loop. The pelicans are red hot. If Curry does not come back I can see them giving the warriors a rough time.
Yes I agree on that too if Curry does not return by then, they will be roughed up by the Pelicans.
