Hello there fight fans, hope everyone was able to take part in the UFC 217 festivities last night. What an amazing night? Some epic beat downs, and definitely some surprise wins. My favorite fight of the night was Rose Namajunas win over Joanna Jedrzejczyk. I knew she had a chance, but I thought for sure her key to the win was going to be a submission of some kind. But to win it with her stand up...now that is even more impressive.

As you peeps know, them damn fights cost $60 bucks to get on PPV, and i'm not a big fan of trying to watch a stream version. So I figured why not find a place to watch the fight. I'd rather drop $60 bucks on some food and drinks to watch the fight, instead of paying the same amount to watch it at home. I don't live very from Casino M8trix, so I decided to give their sports bar a call. They were showing the fight, and bonus, there was no cover charge. Some place charge $10-$15 cover on fight nights.

Poker Room

Casino M8trix is a card room in northern California. A card room in California usually has various poker games like Pai Gow, or 3 Card, and Black Jack. Some of them even have casino War. HA!! The best thing about card rooms in CA are the poker rooms. Since there are no slot machines, they usually have room for giant poker rooms. And obviously being a poker player, I love that I can go play any time I want. Most CA card rooms spread all sorts of games; including: nlhe, omaha, stud, draw, etc... I had only gone to Casino M8trix one time prior, but all the tables were full, and I did not feel like waiting.

Unfortunately, as I was there for the UFC fight, this time I could not play either. But I did watch some action, and I was tempted. I think I will certainly give it a shot next time. Too bad they didn't let me take any pics in the poker area.
