There is Inter Milan at Borobudur Hotel

No doubt that I am a big fan of Inter Milan. I have been an interisti since 1998, the year that was remember as reformation moment in Indonesia.

On April 8-10, 2018, I have been in Jakarta and I took a hotel to stay at Borobudur Hotel. It was a famous hotel with 5 stars. It was built since Old Order Regime in Soekarno era.

According to history that I read, the hotel is located on area around Lapangan Banteng previously welknown as Waterlooplein. It is the center of Jakarta or Batavia called Weltevreden. The land where this hotel stands is the colonial military headquarters of the Dutch East Indies. But now only the back of which remains the Marine Headquarters.

In 1963, President Soekarno decided to build a luxury hotel in this location. So the military headquarters of colonial relics were evicted to build a six-storey luxury hotel with more 200 suites. Due to its location near the State Palace, this hotel is meant to be a guesthouse for guests of the country. Beginning of 1970s, Hotel Borobudur was renovated and unveiled by President Soeharto. I loved to choose The Borobudur Hotel because it is so near by Istiqlal Mosque. It takes only 5 minutes by walk to reach it.

But the point of my story is not that. I saw at the corner of gym sport centre the photos related to Inter Milan. Yes once at past time, Inter Milan team ever stayed in this hotel when they were coached by Roberto Mancini. The photo is also displayed Ranocchia as the captain of Nerazurri.

So, I am proud to stay in this hotel. It is not only one of the best of luxury hotels in Jakarta, but also chosen Inter Milan to overnight.

Anyway, one of my wishes are not realized yet, which is to meet with Il Biscone or the big snake: one of calling to Inter Milan. As a die hard fan, I want to shake their hands and encourage them to be proud using this black-blue jersey and seize the world in football competition. They have already reached the glory at past time and they must repeat again.
