What can Everton fans expect from Sean Dyche?

As the so called PE Teacher David Unsworth continues his quest to get the role permanently this weekend against Watford, Burnley’s Sean Dyche has continued his excellent management of the unfashionable Lancashire club. What’s more, with 2 defeats from 2 so far, it’s not looking good for Everton’s Under 23 boss. So, what would Everton be getting if they did go for the Burnley manager as their new boss? We asked a Burnley season ticket holder on the lowdown.

Dyche the master tactician speaks with the first team coach

Frameworks & Automaticity
Anyone who has watched Burnley repeatedly, or listened to Dyche speak will know about another of his buzzwords, which is “frameworks”. A new one is “automaticity”, but what does this mean in plain English? Well, it means that Burnley are well drilled, not just defensively, but also in the way they play. Burnley play with fairly set yet well-constructed and complex patterns, allowing players to know where each other will (or should) be automatically, without thought. This enables quicker, natural movements through habit, and for the quality football seen so far this season.

Stable Team Selection & Tactics
Burnley’s back 4 has been unchanged for every game this season, with only the injury to Keeper Tom Heaton forcing a change of any defender. Also, new signings are not rushed in to the team, as incumbents remain in place until injured, or the new player has shown well in cup games or off the bench. Substitutions tend to be pre-planned, with the panic button very rarely pressed. All of this gives confidence to the players selected, who seem to repay the faith with consistent quality.

A boss among equals - Dyche believes in empowering players

Empowered Players
It is little known that Dyche and his management team conduct an anonymous online survey of the players thoughts and opinions at the end of every season, which they use as a guide for Pre Season and tactics. This thoroughly modern man-management technique allows Dyche to work as a team with his players, giving ownership to “the group” (buzzwords) and nipping any potential problems in the bud.

Simple Sideline Instructions
You will never see Dyche or his coaches giving complex tactical information from the sideline, as that work has been done and is drilled, and drilled again. Most of the instruction given is very simple for the players to digest, such as “play”, “press” or, buzzword “frameworks”. The players know what these instructions mean, and there is no confusion in implementation.

Dyche is loved by everyone at Burnley

Well Considered Transfers
Burnley don’t like to spend money, and Dyche follows the club model. Not only does he buy at the lower end of the market with success (Heaton, Defour, Keane etc), but he is also prepared to blood young, untested players if he thinks they are ready. This would be good news for Everton and their stellar youth system. This season he has replaced Tom Heaton and Michael Keane with untested Championship level players who have been working with the club for a year, and both have excelled.

Dyche would bring something completely different to Everton

Conclusion
So, if Everton do decide to opt for the Burnley manager, they would be getting a mix of traditional drill style, and also very modern style way of coaching. His man-management techniques are evident, as he has complete respect and understanding from all players and board members at the club. Everton might decide to go for a “big name” coach who is only too happy to spend their newly found billions. However, a move for Dyche might be seen as a bold move, but if Everton are to make it back to the top table of European football, they need to make bold moves.

wow this is a great post mis steemsports your valuable post is very importent for us

thanks very much

The fate of Everton, the problem of substitute Ronald Koeman can not, yesterday lost again in the Europa League after Lyon 3-0. I think it's between Nuno Espirito Santo and Sean Dyche.

Everton are a mess right now. The money they've spent, they should be top half at least. Dyche will be an excellent signing for them.

Hopefully Dyche be a solution for Everton if so be recruited

Woow.super post.thanks for sharing. .' @steemsports

Good post. Dyche deserves a shot at a bigger club. Sick of seeing all the best jobs go to someone just because he's won a title at Barcelona or Bayern Munich.

For sure. It seems if you haven't got a European surname you won't get a top Premier League mangaer's job.
