When something goes wrong, bosses are looking for excuses. And that's the case for Citroen World Rally Team. They are fourth in manufacturers championship from four teams. That's bad for a team of that good reputation.

 

Their technical boss said they have struggled on the first two rounds of the championship in Monte Carlo and Sweden. Craig Breen was their best placed driver with two fifth places at the first two rounds,  in Monte Carlo with 2016 DS 3 WRC and with the new C3 in Sweden.

Kris Meeke crashed out on both events.

C3 WRC has done most of the testing on gravel. And Rally Mexico is gravel event. In Mexico they have Kris Meeke and Stephane Lefebvre behind the wheel of C3 WRC. Breen  will do only recce on this event.

Citroen will have three C3s on WRC rallies from Corsica in April. Kris will fight for top places in Mexico and Lefebvre's job is to collect the points for the manufacturers' championship."
