10 Current Tallest NBA Players

This is an unconventional post to what we want to do, but I wanted to write a post so I could see how posting and everything worked before we get started. With the NBA season over, there is a lot to talk about regarding the upcoming draft and the 2017-2018 season, but I’d like to cover something more fun as our first post to Steemit. Here are the 10 tallest current NBA players.

#10 Meyers Leonard - 7’1”

At 7’1”, the Portland Trailblazer Power Forward / Center is the first on our list. Leonard only played 3 games, averaging 2.7 Rebounds per game and recorded 0 blocks in the 2016-2017 season.

#9 Marc Gasol - 7’1”

The 7’1” starting center for the Memphis Grizzlies comes in #9 on this list. Gasol averaged 6.3 rebounds and 1.3 blocks per game and was an NBA All-Star this season. The center out of Spain is 32 and the younger brother of Pau Gasol.

#8 Alex Len

Although a bench player most of the season as a center for the Phoenix Suns, Len averaged 6.6 rebounds and 1.3 blocks per game this season. However, in his 34 games as a starter, Len averaged 7.8 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per game.

#7 Timofey Mozgov - 7’1”

Mozgov, the Russian center for the Los Angeles Lakers, signed a four year deal in 2016 for $64 million. Mozgov had a disappointing first season as a Laker, averaging 4.9 rebounds and 0.6 blocks per game.

#6 Salah Mejri- 7’2”

Although the Dallas Mavericks center only played 12.4 minutes per game, playing the majority of those games off the bench, Mejri averaged 4.2 rebounds and 0.8 blocks per game during the 2016-2017 season.

#5 Alexis Ajinca- 7’2”

The New Orleans Pelicans center out of France only played 39 games this season, but averaged 4.5 rebounds and 0.6 blocks in 15 minutes per game.

#4 Roy Hibbert - 7’2”

The 30 year old Nuggets center averaged 3.2 rebounds and 1.0 blocks per game in 48 games this season. Of those 48 games, he played 42 with the Hornets before being traded to the Denver Nuggets.

#3 Kristaps Porzingis - 7’3”

The Latvian phenomenon comes in at number 3 on the list at 7’3”. In the 2016-2017 season, KP/ Porzingod/ The Unicorn averaged 7.2 rebounds and 2.0 blocks as the center for the New York Knicks.

#2 Edy Tavares- 7’3”

Tavares only played 2 games as a center for the Cleveland Cavaliers, but averaged 5.5 rebounds and 3.0 blocks in those two games.

#1 Boban Marjanovic- 7’3”

Marjonovic is the current tallest NBA player at 7’3”. After the end of the 2015-2016 season, Marjanovic signed a three year, $21 million dollar deal with the Detroit Pistons. In the 2016-2017 season, Marjanovic averaged 3.7 rebounds and 0.3 blocks per game in 35 games coming off the bench.
