F1 Break In! Championship Decided?
Another amazing race for Lewis Hamilton and the Mercedes Team. Now leading the championship with 306 points, leaving a 59 point gap to Sebastian Vettel and the Ferrari.
Vettel had another disappointing weekend and with Singapore and Malaysia fresh in our memory this time it was a technical failure, having some trouble with the spark plug the Ferrari did not have any straight line speed, left the team retiring the car in lap 6. With Lewis leading the race at that moment Ferrari can already forget the championship title. It is already been 10 years that Ferrari clinched her last title with former and current drive Kimi Raikkönen in 2007.
Lewis controlled the pace throughout the the race and the Red Bulls were no threat to the Silver Arrows. Verstappen came across the finish 1.2 second behind the Mercedes and Daniel Ricciardo at 9.6 seconds. It was a solid race for both Red Bulls and the factory is catching up to Ferrari and Mercedes. Maybe next year the Red Bull Factory can compete at the start of the season!
In conclusion i think this year Lewis got the title in the bag. With USA, Mexico, Brazil and Abu Dhabi left on the calender there isn't any reason to think that Vettel will be an contender.
