Even though Germany won the title, for me the World Cup 1990 was the year of Cameroon.
They beat Argentina 0:1 which was of course a huge surprise the entire world.
I also bound 1990 with name Roger Milla: he scored 4 goals and played a great game against England. I think after that year african teams
are taken more seriously.

    Quite right about Cameroon, they were awesome. That win against Argentina is one of my top five non-England World Cup highlights. Particularly after the event's of 1986!
