Vice President Pence Walks Out of Indianapolis Colts Game
The Vice President of the United States, Mike Pence, and his wife attended the Indianapolis Colts game today in their home state of Indiana. Prior to becoming the VP, Pence was the governor of the Hoosier state. He is a lifelong Colts fan.
Today when the National Anthem was performed, the entire Colts team stood with respect. But several players on the visiting 49ers refused to stand. Vice President Pence and his wife were so offended by the disrespect of the American Flag that they immediately left the game.
The Colts players and fans had the last laugh as they won the game in overtime. Cheers!
Total publicity stunt, in my opinion.
Good
Was it really a surprise to him? Players have been doing this all season. Don't waste your time and the money on all of the extra security just so you can leave and tweet at Trump.
Was this a test to see if the MAGA-supporters would chew their ticket cost and walk out; thus, missing the game?
If so, I guess it was a fail. Now, if they guarantee refunds to people who walk, they might have a bigger following. But, I think people value the sport more than the politics surrounding the flag.
This is a sad commentary; but, reality just the same.
Thanks for the post.
Peace!
