Harry Kane has set his targets to the highest possible and wants to challenge Messi and Ronaldo for the Ballon d'OR
In a recent interview, Harry Kane has admitted he is aiming to become the best player in the world and by winning the Ballon d'OR but he has said he needs to emulate Cristiano Ronaldo at international level too.
Harry Kane has been clinical I front of goal in the last 3 seasons at Tottenham scoring 29 league goals last year and 75 in his last 3 seasons but Kane has only scored 5 goals in 17 caps for England.
Harry Kane in his recent interview in the press conference before a big World Cup Qualifier against Scotland on Saturday said,
""Who wouldn't want to win that big gold trophy? It's definitely something I aspire to do,"
"Doing that, you have to win the big tournaments, for club and country. Ronaldo won the Euros and the Champions League and that's part of the reason why most of the time he wins it. Messi's is a similar situation. To do that, it isn't just individual, I think it's part of a team thing as well, winning team trophies."
"That's hopefully what we can do at Tottenham. And for sure I'd love to win that trophy one day."
Harry Kane last season saw the title hope slip from Tottenham again and there was nothing he could of done about it. He has seen former team mates leave for success and pursue themselves into the world elite such as Gareth Bale who moved to Real Madrid for a big money move and has since gone on to win La Liga titles and Champions League glory.
Kane was asked about the possibility of moving to a bigger club to help his chance of becoming the worlds best but Kane said,
"The aim is to do it for Tottenham,"
"That's my aim and the club and the manager's aim. That's got to be our focus. We can't be going into the Champions League next year not expecting to try and win it. That's got to be our mind-set and that is our mind-set."
What we know if Kane is on the verge of doing something special and could one day be the first English winner of the Ballon d'OR since Michael Owen and if he continues to play like he is in the premier league, may even surpass Alan Shearers goal scoring record in the Premier League, one which most of us probably never expected to be beaten again.

Tbh for me Nobody will get to Messi or Ronaldo's levels for a few years yet. and unlikely to be a English Striker, they haven't really been great since Owen or Shearer and even still in those times there was Brazilian Ronaldo and Co. who were dominating. Harry Kane has had a great few seasons and will only get better but dont see him reaching 50+ goals a season .

Nobody will get to there level but one day somebody might.
Harry Kane has a possibility with age on his side to win the Ballon d'OR just because messi and Ronaldo are getting older and coming to an end of their careers.

Its possible he could win the Ballon d'OR but there are the likes of Neymar, Dybala, Mbappe etc. There's too much talent ahead of us.

He is a good english player, just like Vardy when he won the league. we have to see how good Kane become when he have more experience.
