Aguero Admits Not Easy to Meet Pep's Desire
Pep Guardiola is a guarantee for every club won the title. But not for players who have to fight extra hard reaching for a place.
That is the story of Manchester City striker, Sergio Aguero, who in the last two seasons trained Guardiola. In fact Aguero is City's main striker this season with 30 goals in all competitions.
The same thing happened in Pep's first year coaching City where Aguero made 33 goals out of 45 appearances throughout the competition. However, what is seen in advance is not as easy as in reality.
Aguero in fact still have to face the incredibly tight competition from Gabriel Jesus who imported Pep in the transfer market in January 2017. Once it came, Jesus immediately sticking out his performance and had made Aguero eliminated.
But, the metatarsal injury Jesus made Aguero got his place again until now. Aguero also knows that he must appear consistent next season so Pep does not provide a starter allocation for Jesus.
"Guardiola is very demanding, initially is not easy," Aguero said as quoted by FourFourTwo.
"After Gabriel's arrival, Pep has an alternative to the core team, but we at Manchester City have many opportunities to show our performance," he continued.
