Is Rick Pitino to Big to fall?
Incase you haven't heard the ncaa basketball world got flipped upside down with the FBI getting involved with recruitment violations that could stretch throughout the leagues coaches and apparel industries.
Rick Pitino is out as Lousvilles headcoach with only 2 days left before players start showing up for practice. Although Pitino hasnt been officially charged by the FBI the Lousville program has taken quick action to distance themselves from one of the greatest college basketball coaches of all time.
Is Pitino so Big that the ncaa program as a whole will use him as a scapegoat? Is he so Big and well connected that he will be the face of the whole scandalous recruitment process but wind up getting nothing more than a slap on the "ring finger"? I bet he takes the most heat and receives the smallest punishment.
The Ncaa is the most guilty along with the FBI for letting it get as far as it has before all of a sudden crying foul! Theyve made Trillions over the decades by taking advantage of students and coaches. When will it be their turn to face the music?
Lets hear some thoughts. Is pay for recruitment in college just part of the game? Or are all those involved since the beginning of college sports guilty of corrupting the sport?
I say if the college athletes get paid a % of the schools athletics programs annual income this conversation might not be so big!
