Scotland vs Nepal at Queens Sports Club
With two wins in as many games, Scotland are topping Group B and are a win away from sealing a spot in the Super Sixes. After chasing down a tricky target against Afghanistan in their opening game, the Scotland bowlers stepped up in the following game. They bowled out Hong Kong for 91. It wasn't the most clinical chase as Scotland lost six wickets, however, Kyle Coetzer will be happy with the end result - a four-wicket win. Nepal, on the other hand, will be keen to taste a win, having lost their first match against Zimbabwe. Their bowlers were taken to the cleaners by Taylor and Raza. The Asian side will have to punch above their weight to stop the Scots.Netherlands vs United Arab Emirates at Harare Sports ClubTwo teams on the back of defeats will face-off at the Harare Sports Club to turn around their respective fortunes. United Arab Emirates, who started their campaign on a bright note with a 56-run win over Papua New Guinea, suffered a setback against a rampant Windies side. Chasing a daunting score, Rameez Shahzad slammed a ton, but ended up on the wrong side as his team fell 60 runs short of the target. Their opponents, Netherlands, in a rain-marred game, lost their opening game to Ireland. Chasing a stiff target, the Dutch batting line-up failed to fire and succumbed to a 93-run loss. With three round-robin matches still left, Peter Borren's men will look to get to winning ways.Windies vs Papua New Guinea at Old Hararians Sports ClubTwo time World Champions, Windies, kicked off their campaign on a bright note with a 60-run win over UAE. Chris Gayle and Shimron Hetmyer slammed tons which helped the Caribbean side post a towering total of 357. Skipper Jason Holder shone with the ball, bagging a fifer. They go into the contest against Papua New Guinea as firm favourites. After getting thrashed by UAE in the first game, PNG put a better performance in their next outing against Ireland. Tony Ura (151) single-handedly helped his team post a decent total. However, PNG didn't have enough firepower at their disposal to defend a score of 235. PNG have a Herculean task - win both the remaining matches - to make it to the Super Sixes.Afghanistan vs Hong Kong at Bulawayo Athletic ClubAfghanistan, one of the pre-tournament favourites, find themselves in an iffy position on the back of two successive losses. After bowling out the Zimbabweans for 196, the Rashid Khan-led side faltered while chasing. From 156 for 3 in the 34th over, they collapsed and eventually lost by 2 runs in a thrilling last-over finish on Tuesday. For Afghanistan to make the Super Sixes, they will have to win their remaining two matches and hope other results go their way. Hong Kong, on the other hand, have played only one match. They suffered a defeat at the hands of Scotland after getting skittled out for 91. The bowlers put up a strong show by picking 6 wickets, but the total was too small to defend. Babar Hayat & Co. will look to cash in against a wounded Afghanistan set-up.
