Russia and New Zealand kicked off the 2017 Confederations Cup in style, with the host Russians scoring twice to secure three points on the opening night of the eight-team tournament.

The Kiwis managed only two shots on goal throughout the 90 minutes, although you could add one more if you count Michael Boxhall's own goal that started off the scoring in the 31st minute. Fedor Smolov doubled the lead for Russia with a goal off the right wing in the 69th minute.

Russia holds the early lead in Group A.

it is sad, that posting a preview of that game just 9 Minutes before you post the recap gets 80 times of rewards of your post...

Streemit is a little bit about content or not ??

What you people think ?

The reputation and voting trail of @steemsports >> the content nowaday.

and they earned for sure their reputation ( the preview is good ! ), but little bad sad and ironic, what happened...

it takes a lot of time to build a reputation like anywhere else. You cannot expect to join the platform and make millions instantly because things don't work like that. You have to earn that reputation. I can see nepd doing a great job in his first couple of months here and he is also earning good money as an individual. I will give him a follow now as well, I'll follow you to see what you can provide (I can see you recently joined with all the boomers, so it might be hard to get your name out there, but it is totally worth a try).
I've been part of Steemsports for quite a while now, and let's face it, there is no place that writes about sports better or with more consistency. This project is up from November, the community loves it and it has built all the following with hard work. Steemit is about the content, of course, and I can see deeper analysis on Steemsport to be honest. Sadly, this one mistake happened now, but I guess we all know that stuff like that happens to everyone.
We need to understand that we have to build our fan base on Steemit (and everywhere) before we can start making money (or achieving other goals). After all, how could anyone see this post in all the Sea of posts that are published every second. I hate marketing myself, but it is a key element of any business nowadays, be it on Steemit or any other platform. And also, if those mistakes would carry on and content would be shit on Steemsports, everyone would stop voting in no time.
No one ever wants to talk about time spent working hard to achieve goals and everyone just love to discuss other's undeserved money.
P.S. I meant no offense or whatsoever, I appreciate your content and as a sports and constructive thoughts fan, I'll be following you from now on. And look, liitle by little you'll get there. Just don't expect it to be fast.

that true ! Agreed :)

I PREDICTED THE SCORE OF THE FIRST MATCH ! LMAO

Let the football games begin. I mean football that is played with foot :p

Thank you very much for this post

Thank you for the update. Winner of the today match was expected. Kiwis are just to weak.

I really enjoyed the game, it was pretty interesting. Russia played better than in the European Championschip :P.
