Lonzo Ball had his best amusement subsequent to dumping Big Baller Brand
The Lakers rookie had his best summer league showing, a truly monster performance, against the 76ers on Wednesday night — after Ball opted to wear a pair of Nike sneakers instead of the absurdly expensive ZO2 signature shoes from the family’s Big Baller Brand he wore in his first two games.

The No. 2 overall NBA draft pick played in a pair of bright purple Nike Kobe AD’s – Kobe Bryant’s signature shoe – and dropped a near-triple double of 36 points, 11 assists, eight rebounds and five steals as the Lakers inched past the 76ers, 103-102.

The move sparked noise on social media, even prompting Cavilers star (and Nike pitchman) LeBron James to post a video to Instagram of Ball’s kicks with the Nike catchphrase as the caption: “Just. Do. It.”

But according to LaVar Ball, Lonzo’s dad and indefatigable hype man, don’t make much of it. The elder Ball said Lonzo is free to wear any shoe he wants, but the appearance in the Nike swoosh isn’t foreshadowing negotiations between them and Nike
“Lonzo is not forced to wear any brand, and can play in any shoe he wants as long as it’s OK with the NBA,” LaVar Ball told ESPN. “This is what being independent is all about.”
Lonzo multiplied down on LaVar's remarks after the amusement. He said he wore them as a tribute to previous Lakers genius Kobe Bryant.

"At BBB, you can play in what you need," Lonzo Ball said on "SportsCenter" after the amusement. "I officially played in both of my shoes, should get the 'Mamba Mentality' going. Put them on, and it worked out today."

It was beforehand detailed Ball passed up a major opportunity for a lucrative sponsorship tennis shoe bargain when his blunt father bungled converses with the three driving shoe organizations: Nike, Under Armor and Adidas. LaVar demanded the tennis shoe mammoths permit and appropriate his Big Baller Brand attire as a major aspect of any assention.

In his initially summer group diversion against the Clippers, Ball shot an unfortunate 13 percent from the field, including going 1 for 11 from the 3-point line. He took after with a triple-twofold out of a Lakers misfortune to the Celtics on July 8.

In both of those amusements, Ball wore his ZO2, which are fabricated under his father's Big Baller Brand. A couple costs $495.
