Sweden crushes white Russia with World Cup playoffs
Sweden has won a 4-0 landslide outside its territory on the white Russia to top the first group in the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers on the account of France, which will host Luxembourg's ranking later on Sunday.
Sweden, which started the game in the second place in the group, advanced three points behind France following the sudden loss of 3.2 of Bulgaria last Thursday, early on the target of Emil Vorzburg after taking a long pass and dodging the guard before he put the ball in the nets at 18 minutes.
Six minutes later, the White Russian defender, Mikhail Sevakov, made a mistake to draw Christophe Nemman's ball and send a strong shot at the net and make the result 2-0 for Sweden.
Sweden strengthened the result with a third goal before the break when Vorzburg took over another long pass and passed it to Marcus Berg, who easily put the ball in the empty window.
Belarus started the second half well but did not find a way to penetrate the defense of Sweden while commander Andreas Granqvist added the fourth target of the 84-minute guests to a pen.
The winning balance of Sweden, which defeated France 2-1 in Stockholm with a splendid goal near the end from first Tovoonen in June, raised to 16 equal points with France by the difference of objectives.
The Netherlands has surpassed its guest Bulgaria 3-3 to progress to the third position with a balance of 13 points, three point behind Sweden, before two matches at the end of the playoffs.
The two teams will meet at their last match on the 10th of next month.
We may never be strong enough to be entirely nonviolent in thought, word and deed. But we must keep nonviolence as our goal and make strong progress towards it.
