BLOG: NICK SEELER, ALL OUTA LOOV
With Nick Seeler being reassigned to the Minnesota Wild, fans will unfortunately not be treated to the plethora of headline puns that keeping a name like Viktor Loov in the NHL could harvest.
The Loov Machine, as Viktor has already been so eloquently dubbed, was acquired by Minnesota in a trade on Thursday, sending forwards Mario Lucia and Christoph Bertschy to New Jersey in return.
This move will deepen the thinning Minnesota blue line with another big, experienced body and give two minor league stalwarts a shot at a new start over east.
But with 2011 5th round pick Nick Seeler already in the organisation, it’s the Minnesota native and Gopher alum’s chance to get first shot at the NHL. A chance that on the back of solid AHL performances in Iowa, has been coming for a while.
Nick Seeler is currently in his 2nd season with Iowa, leading the team in penalty minutes with 74 in just 49 games. He’s tallied 12 points around his extra curriculars, but it’s pretty obvious what sort of role he plays.
With penalty minute numbers like that, Seeler sure doesn’t mess around. Watch him absolutely DESTROY Charlotte Checkers center, Connor Brickley in the video below:
Wow .. Such A Nice Post
Thanks buddy. I take it there’s not much hockey played in Bangladesh?
