The Philippines lost to Lebanon in their tuneup game
As FIBA Asian Qualifier basketball matches for both Lebanon and Philippines coming this week. They need to do some preparation so they are both well-prepared on facing their corresponding national team opponents. Lebanon will face South Korea on November 29 while the Philippines will face Kazakhstan. The tune-up game for both national teams will help boost up their competitive skills when it comes to international tournament such as FIBA.
On their tuneup game, I have seen that Lebanon takes the advantage and fully controlled the game. In the first quarter, Lebanon manages to control the game and ability to finish the quarter with them leading in four points. As the second quarter progress, Lebanon really gets dominated the game and manage to extend more of the gap.
It was really a big challenge for the Philippines to find a way on how they could work out on stopping Lebanon in dominating the game. And so, the Philippines start to work some progress in the second half and manage to close the gap with two points. But in the last quarter, there had been too many missed shots coming from the Philippines especially those three-point shot attempts. Anyway, another tuneup game for both teams before they separate each other.
I hope that the Philippines should work harder since they will be facing Iran in the closing game of Asian Qualifiers. The Philippines needs to take hold of their current position in order to secure their slot for FIBA World or they will go into the wildcard matches which will be a more difficult entry to FIBA World Cup.
