Finalmente llego la fiesta del Mundial, y el partido inauguración es el Rusia (anfitrión del Mundial) contra Arabia Saudita. Un partido que ante las expectativas, se esperaba un claro triunfo del local, quizás un 2 a 0, pero ya veremos que ocurrió.

Quiero agregar que no me gustó mucho la presentación apertura del mundial. Espero que el cierre en la final esté mucho mejor.

Comenzando el partido se rompería rápidamente el marcador, al minuto 12 de parte de los locales. En una jugada por la banda izquierda donde Zhirkov descarga la pelota en Zobnin y este de primera manda el centro al área donde Gazinski consigue el espacio y logra rematar de cabeza para el 1 a 0.

Terminando ya el primer tiempo en el 43. Llegaría lo que en mi opinión, fue el mejor gol del partido, jugada donde Cheryshev recibiría la pelota dentro del área y este eludiría a los defensas haciendo una especie de mini pique con la pelota como si fuese una especie de sombrero, para luego poder controlarla y pegarle al primer palo con un poco de efecto a corta distancia.

En el segundo tiempo Arabia Saudita tendría un mayor dominio de pelota pero que no les sirvió para nada, dado que al 71, esto ya se convertiría en goleada, en un saque de banda a los 3/4 de cancha del lado de Arabia Saudita, Rusia logra entrar al área con un centro que es recibido de cabeza por parte del jugador Dziuba, para así otorgar el 3 a 0 (cabe agregar que este jugador tenía menos de 2 minutos de ingresado en el terreno de juego)

Y cuando se pensaba que así terminaría el partido, llegarían dos sorpresas en el tiempo extra, la primera en el minuto 90+1, que parte de un saque de meta de Rusia, que con dos toques terminaría en los pies de de Cheryshev para pegarle con el externo y así dar el 4 a 0.

Y ya en el minuto 90+4 Golovin en un tiro libre, le pegaría de forma muy limpia para que cruce la línea de gol, y así cerrar el juego 5 a 0. Excelente primer resultado para los locales.
