BOSTON - Mitch Moreland hit a two-out single in the seventh inning as the Boston Red Sox scored four times to beat the New York Yankees on Friday night.

With the comeback, Boston reaped its 13th victory in 15 engagements. He extended to five games his lead at the top of the AL East on the Yankees themselves.

New York saw cut a streak of four consecutive wins.

Addison Reed (1-1) took five outs, three through punch. Craig Kimbrel settled the ninth chapter and scored his 29th save.

Jackie Bradley Jr added a two-run single in the eighth inning against Cuban Aroldis Chapman to put the situation at 9-6.

Devers' bambinazo was his fourth in five games. He has seven hits in his 19 major league games.

For the Yankees, Gary Sanchez of 5-1 with a run scored and one produced. The Venezuelan Ronald Torreyes 5-1 with two RBIs.

For the Red Sox, the Dominicans Nunez 5-1 with a run scored, Ramirez 3-0, Devers 4-2 with two runs scored and two RBIs. The Puerto Rican Vazquez 3-3 with three runs scored and one pushed.
