Chris Bosh Waived & Jersey Retires in Miami
Chris Bosh has been officially waived by the the Miami Heat ending a short, successful, and unfortunate NBA career. The time he spent with Miami changed his life where accomplishments will not go unforgotten. A true superstar, Bosh's jersey number will be retired in Miami an will never be worn by another player there.
Bosh did not play the 2016 - 2017 season due to his career ending illness. He wanted to keep playing but after both physicals conducted by the the Miami staff, and the NBA staff they both came to the same conclusion. They don't want to risk his health on the court, after the NBA medical ruling Miami now has the right to waive Bosh.
This waiver enables Miami to end Bosh's 2 year contract freeing up the salary cap, while still being responsible for just over $52 million dollars owed to Bosh for the 2017 - 2018 and 2018 - 2019 seasons. The superstar played 6 seasons winning two NBA championships, this superstar brought a lot to NBA history and will be missed on the court.
