INDIAN CRICKET - A POWER IN MAKING

For all those who have followed INDIAN cricket closely in past one to one and a half year, would seriously realise how apt this title is for the post. Having the got the opportunity to follow INDIAN cricket with my pure interest it feels great to share the success that INDIAN cricket has witnessed in past one year or so. For all those who are unaware of the current ICC(international cricket council) , let me tell them that INDIAN cricket team is currently ranked no. 1 in test rankings with 2nd and 4th in T-20 and One day internationals respectively. Talking of the current form of the team , it is remarkable. It has been quite a wonderful pre- home season and even the home season that has already witnessed 9 match unbeaten streak before losing to AUSTRALIA in the first test match of the ongoing test series between the two teams .

THE YOUNG INDIAN BRIGADE UNDER VIRAT KOHLI:

This young INDIAN team has stunned everyone in world cricket in past one year giving tremendous performances under the leadership of aggressive captain VIRAT KOHLI and acquiring the no.1 spot in icc test rankings in late 2016. Since after the retirement of MS DHONI(former INDIA captain)
from test cricket it has been a tough phase of transition for INDIAN cricket before coach ANIL KUMBLE held this team together to guide them to right path.

CURRENT HOME SEASON:2016-17

Before the long home season began in mid 2016 it was good run of play for INDIA clinching series win over WEST INDIES by 2-0 in a four match series in their own backyard. It was a good platform set before coming into this home season. And to nobody"s surprise it has been so far a INDIA dominated season first beating NEW ZEALAND 3-0 and then harassing ENGLAND team 4-0 in a rare five match test series. It was the turn of tigers i.e BANGLADESH to see how it was to tour in tough INDIAN conditions after a long wait of 17 years.India are currently playing the AUSSIES in 4-match test series ,however INDIA lost the first test but are determined to bounce back int the series and show some character.
