Arsenal 3, Stoke City 0
Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal were back on form today with a 3 - 0 win against Stoke City. The last time both teams met was in August 2017 at the bet 365 stadium. Despite the best efforts of Olivier Giroud and Alexandre Lacazette, Jese Rodriguez was able to gift Stoke City a 1 - 0 win over Arsenal in his debut game with Stoke City.
In their April 1st march which was played at the Emirates stadium, the Gunner were out for revenge. The first goal came on the 75th minute as a result of a penalty which was granted to Arsenal when Ozil was brought down by Bruno Martins Indi. This gave Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang the opportunity to neatly secure the first of his two goals of the game. In the 86th minute, Aubameyang was back again to give the Gunners a 2-0 lead. In the 89th minute, Aubameyang had an opportunity to score 6 goals in 6 games by going for a heart trick, but he was gracious enough to hand the opportunity to Alexandre Lacazette who had just returned from an injury.

Overall, the team played well but there is always room for improvement. When asked whether he would change anything in the game, Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger said
"Yes. Personally, I felt it was not so much about football, more mental," "We broke up two weeks ago, came back, switched off, we’ve got a big [Europa League] game, not a lot to go for in the Premier League in some people’s minds. "Football does not stop and go, it’s about keeping continuity in your performances. The players realise that. I think that this group of players is very healthy, very strong, has got solidarity and responded very well in the second half."

Aside from the remarkable play from Aubameyang, the best player on the pitch today was Ramsey. He held on to the midfield with great finesse even though his regular partner Xhaka was not present. Arsenal next premiere league game is against Southampton on Sunday, April 08.
