Spencer Brown hadn't even started his junior year of high school when he made his first college decision. The 2019 three-star offensive tackle from Walled Lake Western committed to Michigan State last July. Now nearly 10 months removed from giving his verbal pledge to the Spartans, the recruiting pressure isn't the same as it was. "It's been kind of slow because a lot of schools know I'm kind of locked in, but a lot of schools still reached out to me," Brown said. "It's not like schools are not still trying to talk to me but it's not how it used to be, how I used to get like three offers a day."
Brown's commitment to Michigan State resulted in some programs backing off but also others ramping up their efforts. Among his more than two dozen offers, Michigan, Florida and UCLA all came after he committed and LSU offered Tuesday but Brown maintained he's completely committed to the Spartans.
