Hilton Magic comes up short this time

It seems every year Hilton Magic is put to the test when the Kansas Jayhawks come to Ames. This year was no different. The Cyclones fought hard tonight but came up short in a 83-77 loss to the 13th ranked Jayhawks.
Cam Lard was given the honors of Big 12 newcomer of the week yesterday after putting up 22 points at 7th ranked Texas Tech and 19 points with 17 rebounds aganst Oklahoma. The freshmen dropped 19 points along with 11 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 blocks and a steal in tonight's loss to Kansas.

The Cyclones fell to 13-12 on the season with this loss tonight.  These young players have been playing hard and showing improvement.  Lard's impressive play of late gives us all something to look forward to for Iowa State Basketball.
