Seems Liverpool Aren't The Only Ones Who Know How To Look Scary, The Red Devils Are Just As Good
It seems the sleeping dogs are now awake, although, some are still looking a bit groggy(Manchester City). I had thought Liverpool were the only team who looked fully ready, subconsciously neglecting the 2 Manchester's beautiful form at the moment(United outscoring teams, and City trying to maintain a good clean sheet whilst they go for the kill). I will prefer to buttress more on Manchester United for now.
I have actually been observing Manchester United for some time now, but I never expected them to put up such an extraordinary display against Leeds United just a day after Liverpool ran riot on Crystal Palace. A run of 6 games without being beaten was something United should have been proud considering the fact that they defeated the likes of in form Everton and Southamoton, and also ensured a draw against city rivals Manchester City at Old Trafford(if you follow the previous games between these 2 sides, you will know it is much more easier for City to get all 3 points than United at Old Trafford and vice versa in Etihad) during those amazing run. But going at Leeds with such killer intent was just way above it.
I bet they knew Leeds will come out at them fully as this has been their(Leeds) style in previous games, so they(Manchester United) just gave Leeds a upgraded version of how they(Leeds) attack as in just 3 minutes, they(Leeds) were already 2 goals down and it would have been 4 at half time if not for Cooper's 41st minute strike. United didn't cool off as they increased the goal difference to 5 goals 10 minutes from the hour mark, but a quick stunning reply from Dallas ensured United could only end the game with a goal difference of 4 goals as the final scoreline was 6 goals to 2.
Bruno Fernandez was on fire as usual, but McTominay matched the Portuguese performance recording equal number of goals(2) and assist(1). It was really an amazing night for Manchester United.
The only disappointing part of this game was The red devils conceding yet again. I wasn't expecting anything better though as this has been their character against smaller teams(they are defensive conscious against bigger teams, and offensive conscious against smaller teams), and it was pretty obvious Leeds, who are always going all out in all their games, would definitely get some goal gifts. They(United) will have to do something about shipping in goals as they might not get lucky against fierce attacking teams like Liverpool, we saw that against Tottenham.
Yesterday's win for Manchester United pushed them to 3rd position, and if they win their outstanding game, they will go above Leicester City to take 2nd position ensuring they have only 2 points separating them from Liverpool. Also, teams now know Liverpool aren't the only team they should be scared of as both Manchester United and Manchester City aren't ready to drop points, although, the latter could be a bit merciful for now.
